How much will it cost to own the disc of my digital images?
There is no additional charge for your digital images. I include the DVD in the listed price for the session at no additional cost to you.

How do I order prints?
Included in the price is the DVD of all your edited images. With ownership of the DVD you will have the freedom to print your images wherever you choose. I highly recommend www.mpix.com for prints/photo-books as opposed to Walmart, Target, etc.

How do I schedule a newborn session when I don't know exactly when my baby will be born?
We'll plan for the session based off of your due date. I will be sure to set aside time before and after your due date to ensure my availability when your little one arrives. As soon as you deliver, let me know and we will get a definitive date on the calendar.

Why do you recommend the newborn session take place before the baby is 14 days old?
Newborns are the sleepiest and most posable during the first 10 days of life. Beyond 2 weeks, they are much more aware of their surroundings, wake up easily, and are less content being posed in baskets, buckets, etc.

Where does a newborn session take place?
I'm happy to tell you that the newborn session can take place in the comfort of your own home. I will set things up in whatever room in your house has the most natural light. If you are unsure about what room has the most natural (window) light, I'll be happy to do a quick walk through when I arrive. During warm weather, we can even do some photos outdoors.

Can my newborn's siblings be in the photos with him/her?
Of course! I'm happy to include Mom, Dad, and siblings during a newborn session.

Do I need to supply any props (hats, headbands, etc)?
No. I will bring plenty of props for use during the session. However, if you have any of your own items that you'd like to have included I'm happy to do so.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my baby's newborn photo session?
Yes! There are several things you can do to make the session go as smoothly as possible. Things like, warming up the house, having burp cloths and extra diapers/wipes ready, etc. The week of the session, I will email you a list of tips/suggestions on how to prepare.

Where does a portrait session take place?
A portrait session takes place outdoors at the location of your choosing (within reasonable distance to West Chester, PA). If unsure of a good location, I am happy to make some suggestions.
For long distance locations, an additional fee will be added to cover traveling costs.

When is the best time to do a portrait session?
I prefer to do portrait sessions Monday through Friday during the prime lighting hours (just after dawn or before dusk). This light is the most flattering. I realize that work and busy schedules can make a weekday difficult and am willing to work with you to find the best time.

Won't an outdoor session in the evening be too late or too dark?
Depending on the time of year, the sun takes longer to set and results in longer periods of daylight. The most flattering lighting for photographs is in the hours just prior to the sun setting.
